2025 SWHS Impact Scholarship

The South Whidbey Project is honored to continue its commitment to local students with a $10,000 scholarship to a deserving member of the class of 2025.

This year, we shifted our approach: instead of an application process, we asked school administrators to identify one student for whom this award would have the greatest impact. Their thoughtful selection allowed us to directly support a student who needed it most, and we were proud to present the scholarship in person on scholarship night.

We remain deeply invested in the future of South Whidbey and are grateful for the opportunity to help lift up the next generation.

2025 Whidbey Island's Learning Center for Languages, Arts and STEM

The South Whidbey Project is excited to continue our partnership with the Whidbey Island Language Art & STEM Center (WILASC) in 2025. This year’s funding will once again provide scholarships for students to attend STEM-focused summer camps, along with essential classroom supplies to support hands-on learning.

We’re committed to helping expand access to creative and educational programs on Whidbey Island, and proud to support WILASC’s mission to inspire curiosity, confidence, and opportunity through after-school and summer learning.

Phase 2 - Langley Community Center Field

The South Whidbey Project is excited to continue supporting the restoration of the Community Center field, a vital community space that’s already seen great progress.

With Phase 1 complete—bringing a working irrigation system, new fencing, and significant regrowth—Phase 2 will build on that foundation. This next phase includes bringing in large amounts of topsoil to level the playing surface, reseeding bare patches, and expanding irrigation to support healthy, durable turf.

With the field closed for most of the summer, the timing is ideal to let the grass recover and strengthen ahead of the fall. We're proud to play a role in restoring this field for everyone to enjoy.

Grant Amount: $5,000

Additionally, thanks to Parks and Rec and funding from the local soccer club, significant improvements are already visible.
